Frank and Tamara were high school sweethearts not so long ago. Their second official date was their Junior Prom! They both agree that Catawba Valley Home School Prom trumps their Jr & Sr proms which were both held in their high school's gymnasium; the snacks were minimal, decorations tacky and the bands lame! Frank and Tamara celebrated 25 years of marriage last October, have three beautiful daughters (23, 20 & 17) each of whom are pursuing their artist dreams. Tamara & Frank believe home schooling their girls was possibly the best decision they ever made; it allowed them to become closer as a family, draw nearer to God and give their children the gift of time well spent. This is Frank and Tamara's twelth and last year of home schooling and their ninth and final year planning & chaperoning the CVHS Prom. It has been an amazing adventure with many ups and downs and twists and turns...just like a CaRNiVaL ride!

Dale and Stacy have been together so long they hardly remember being apart. Stacy’s prom was one of many dates in the early years during the era of the infamous big hair, shoulder pads, and parachute pants. Dale and Stacy will celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary in July. They have two amazing offspring whom they home schooled for fifteen years; until they reached perfection and were launched into the fun world of university life. Dale and Stacy became involved in the Catawba Valley Area Home School Prom planning when their oldest was in 9th grade, in 2005, and so enjoy the home school community that they continue to be involved, even after their own have graduated. It has been an honor and a privilege to see the youngest siblings of their children’s friends grown into lovely adults with hearts for God. Stacy’s favorite part of prom is seeing the transformation of yesterday’s goofy children into today’s elegant ladies and gentlemen; Dale’s favorite part is seeing the young adults come back to serve with the prom committee after graduation.

Dave and Patty are parents to Daniel, Alan and Emma and homeschooled from 1993 to 2016. This will be our 5th and final year helping with the awesome Catawba Valley Homeschool Prom! It has been a pleasure to be involved in planning an event in which the goal is to provide a fun and memorable experience for homeschoolers.
